Trogir Old Town & Čiovo Beaches

From Mar Escape Villa: around 25–30 minutes by car
Perfect for: history, easy walking, sunset drinks

Trogir’s historic centre is a tiny island packed with medieval stone streets, palaces and churches under UNESCO protection. It’s ideal for a relaxed morning of wandering, church towers and coffee stops. In the afternoon, head over the bridge to Čiovo Island for a swim and a simple seaside lunch.

Stroll the Riva, climb the cathedral tower for views, then choose between family-friendly beaches or quieter rocky spots on Čiovo. This is one of the easiest and most flexible day trips from Mar Escape.
Split Old Town & Marjan Hill

From Mar Escape Villa: about 50–60 minutes by car
Perfect for: culture, views, city buzz

Split grew around the 1,700-year-old Diocletian’s Palace. Inside the palace walls you’ll find narrow stone alleys, tiny bars, Roman cellars and hidden courtyards. Outside, the seafront Riva is made for people-watching with coffee or cocktails.

For sunset, head up Marjan Hill to see the city, harbour and islands from above. It’s a great contrast to the peaceful bay life back at Mar Escape.
Krka National Park & Šibenik

From Mar Escape Villa: roughly 60–75 minutes by car to the park entrance
Perfect for: waterfalls, easy walks, nature

Krka National Park is famous for its emerald-green water, wooden walkways and a chain of waterfalls. The Skradinski Buk area offers a circular trail over bridges and through forest, with plenty of spots to stop for photos.

On your way back, stop in Šibenik for a slow wander through its stone streets and a drink on the waterfront. It’s the perfect “nature + old town” combination from Mar Escape.
Blue Lagoon & Three Islands from Trogir

From Mar Escape Villa: 25–30 minutes by car to Trogir harbour, then 4–8 hours by boat
Perfect for: swimming, snorkelling, island hopping

The famous Blue Lagoon near Drvenik Veli is known for shallow, turquoise water and great snorkelling. Many tours combine it with quiet bays on Drvenik Mali and the island of Šolta, where you can swim straight from the boat and stop for a long lunch by the sea.

Hvar or Brač by Speedboat

From Mar Escape Villa: 25–30 minutes to Trogir or about 50–60 minutes to Split for departure

For a classic Dalmatian island experience, spend the day on Hvar or Brač. A typical Hvar route includes Hvar Town and the Pakleni Islands, while Brač itineraries often visit the famous Zlatni Rat beach and quiet lagoons for swimming.

This is a full-day trip and works especially well for groups who want plenty of time on the boat, swim stops and a leisurely lunch in a harbour restaurant.
Hidden Bays & Coastal Walks Around Vinišće

Perfect for: slow days, kids, easy exploring

Vinišće is surrounded by small coves, pebble beaches and rocky swimming spots. You can follow simple coastal paths to discover different bays, or rent a kayak or SUP board to explore the shoreline from the water.

This is an ideal “soft adventure” day between bigger excursions: swim, nap, enjoy a long lunch at a seaside konoba and wander back to Mar Escape in time for golden hour by the pool.
